Avenue

Today we shot the looks for a coat editorial for a group magazine project. The magazine 'Avenue' is a fashion and lifestyle publication designed for the mature real women with style, substance and experience; encouraging magnificent women from across the globe to embrace fashion, beauty and style. The magazine will explore the lives, homes and wardrobe of talented women - tailoring current trends to their lifestyle. 

For this editorial we went for a very chic and stylish look inspired greatly my Celine. We shot 7 looks, of which a few need to be tweaked slightly (and ones removed). These studio shots are simply to show the looks before shooting the editorial and are unedited:

Style Boards...

As a result a previous post, I created style boards to go hand in hand. At the time I didn't load them all... They don't really need much explaining as that is kind of the idea of a Trend Board. But basically my initial trend was Monochrome, developing onto the initial concept of Black and White Androgyny which I developed further more specifically ending in how the trend could further develop. (Just so you know these trend boards were created based on research and observations from this time last year). Anyway, here they are, Enjoy.

I think the first two boards are a bit over crowded, and feel the last 3 would work a lot more tightly without the company of the two above.

Self Project...

Just found this picture of Drew Barrymore... it's beautiful! Once all my work is handed in on tuesday, this is my first task I have set myself... Can't wait to recreate the photography style, loving the faded quality! Lots will be coming when I have officially finished for the summer, so excited! Also got clothes to sell and another underwear shoot planned...

Black and White Androgyny Continued...

So after doing one photo-shoot with a makeshift studio... the next day me and my friend met up to do one using natural lighting. (Had her younger brother holding the reflecter to highlight her face, bless him). I'm glad we did a second shoot because they came out brilliant! Here are some images from the past two shoots.

Black and White Androgyny

Been a long time, but I'm still doing university work from when I was in hospital from being an extremely poorly lady... anyway! To cut things short and just get some snip-its up, the concept behind the shoot was black and white androgyny, a lot more behind it, but thats the basics. It will all be explained at a later date with the final outcomes. But, for the moment, here are just a few previews images, still to be altered an edited. Here is the makeshift studio, using what little space was available with my dads flood lights... finalised images will follow soon.
