Shoot in Layout

In response to my previous post, I have finally got all my final edits into layout. I have aimed my outcome for AnOther magazine, so have recreated their layout and style. I love how simple AnOther is, it reduces fuss and distraction and allows for focus on the actual content:

Final Outcome

From the images of petrol spills (seen in University Begins Again and More Petrol) which gave us inspiration in the form of vivid colour, high shine, reflection, metallic, gloss and the oils inability to merge with water - we came up with our final concept and styling. We were so excited to create our final editorial, and it was lovely to work in a group that got along so amazingly and were all so passionate and dedicated. 

Inspired by a filmic photographic direction influenced by Blade Runner this is our final fashion spread. We aimed our concept and outcome for Interview magazine as we felt the magazines own photography reflected ours and would keep with the visual identity of our shoot. Interview is forward thinking and would be perfect to encapsulate our forward thinking styling. We also admired the clean and simple layout, which would show of the styling and photography without distraction.

One Day...

During our last project I had my first chance to attempt street style. This was a feature in our magazine concept 'Avenue', for mature women with style, purpose and substance. This proved extremely difficult, we knew these amazing woman were out there, but they were definitely hiding and we just couldn't find them anywhere! Until one Friday me and a few from the group took a visit to Portobello Market, where we found some absolute gems! These women are sure to put us youngsters to shame! 

This woman (above) would you believe it is 63, with no work! She literally didn't have a single crease on her face. Unfortunately I forgot to ask her secret, which I now will never know! 

These two above were so fun! They were best friends and both looked incredible! The one in the purple coat as she walked away shouted 'live life to the full'. It's women like these that actually get me excited about growing older.

This stunning ring that this lovely lady was wearing had a just as beautiful story to go with it. It was a gift from her husband, the flowers on the ring resembled all her children, and she was the vine that kept them all together.

Avenue

Today we shot the looks for a coat editorial for a group magazine project. The magazine 'Avenue' is a fashion and lifestyle publication designed for the mature real women with style, substance and experience; encouraging magnificent women from across the globe to embrace fashion, beauty and style. The magazine will explore the lives, homes and wardrobe of talented women - tailoring current trends to their lifestyle. 

For this editorial we went for a very chic and stylish look inspired greatly my Celine. We shot 7 looks, of which a few need to be tweaked slightly (and ones removed). These studio shots are simply to show the looks before shooting the editorial and are unedited:
